Paul Southall (Mr Paul)
Commercial Partner

Paul Southall is the Commercial Partner of Southalls of Norchard, having studied Agricultural and Food Marketing at Newcastle University. He loves watching and playing ball sports, now concentrating the latter on golf and tennis. With brother Mike and another two friends is carrying out a survey of pubs in Worcestershire and its bordering counties, having already visited over 730 individual pubs.

Mike Southall (Mr Mike)
Production Partner

Michael Southall is the Production Partner of Southalls of Norchard and studied Agricultural Marketing and Business Administration at Harper Adams. When not farming he is very involved with natural history, with a special interest in butterflies and moths. He is an acknowledged expert in this field and often gives talks on the subject locally.

Warren Hill
Production Manager

Warren first worked at Norchard as a student picking Runner Beans in the mid-90s. Has now been with the business over 20 years, working hard to set up efficient systems both in growing and harvesting the crops and in the pack house. Warren met his Slovakian wife Erika when she worked seasonally on the farm and they have 2 daughters. He is a keen mountain biker, often taking on the slopes of Snowdonia.

Penko Ahmashki
Pack House Manager

Penko is originally from ancient Plovdiv, Bulgaria's second city. Having first worked here seasonally he and his wife Darina (Accounts Manager) are now very much full time. Penko enthusiastically leads the pack house team, ensuring that packing speeds and product quality are maximised. Penko and Darina have 2 sons.

Galina Afanasjevs
Office Manager

Galina looks after accounts and payroll. This is a very busy role when employee numbers rise over 250 at the peak Summer picking time, but Galina deals with it calmly and efficiently. Galina, who is from Moldova, met her Latvian husband Alex (Crop Health Manager) at Norchard and they have one son.

Edward Jones
Harvest Manager

Edward is our longest serving employee, at approaching 30 years, and has great experience of managing the harvest teams, particularly those picking Dwarf French and Fine Beans.

Alex Afanasjevs
Crop Health Manager

Alex is experienced at identifying and dealing with any plant health issues that occur within our range of crops. He often uses the high clearance Landini tractor that he is pictured with.

Darina Petkova Ahmashki
Accounts Manager

Darina uses her accountancy training to ensure that the farm finances are kept in order. Darina also works with our customers to keep service levels as high as possible.
